Park Entrance Fee
. The entry fee at Enchanted Rock is $10 per person per day.

The entry fee at Reimers Ranch is $10 per car per day. Bring cash as Reimers doesn't take credit cards. The Enchanted Rock office doesn't open until 8:30am and if you are early, you can use the envelope system to sign in.

Please note: Individuals are responsible for paying their own park entrance fees at the Ranger Station when they arrive at the park. The park entrance fee is separate from any Mountain Madness course fees.

Starting April 1, 2005 the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) began requiring all authorized guide services who hold a contract with TPWD to collect a $10 per person, per day fee for guided use of the park. The guided use fee is included in our prices. See each class description to view pricing for that class.

Where and When to Meet
. Meet us at Enchanted Rock at 8:00 Saturday morning in the main parking lot where the small gazebo and Summit Trailhead are. (Take a right at the "T" intersection after the bridge) We're easy to find... just look for the Giraffe :)

At Reimers Ranch we meet at 8:00 Saturday morning in the climbers parking lot. Just trend left after the ranger station and yet - wait for it, wait for it... just look for the Giraffe :)

(I really like Giraffes - don't you? :)

Class Hours

Class runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 8:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday (though we can leave earlier if you have a long drive home)

Saturday Night Dinner - Dutch Treat
. The Mountain Madness staff has for years carpooled into nearby Frederickburg for dinner on Saturday evening with the class. What better way to top off a day of climbing than swapping tall tales of the day's adventures over a hot meal?

Bring $ for dinner and your Saturday night duds. You might be pleasantly surprised to discover that your grungy, sweaty climbing partner cleans up nice.

Campers
. We have reserved campsites for many of the weekend classes at Enchanted Rock. On weekends that we aren't able to reserve a spot at Enchanted Rock, we camp at Lady Bird Johnson Park in Fredericksburg ( which works out well since we go to town to eat Saturday night :)

Campsites at both locations are near the parking lot within easy walking distance. Both campgrounds have a centralized bathroom with showers.

If you prefer to reserve a personal campsite for yourself or your group, call Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reservations at 512-389-8900.

Medical or Physical Conditions
. Help us make this one of your most memorable and enjoyable experiences. If you have a medical or physical condition (such as asthma, allergic reactions, a recent injury or surgery, etc) that may need attention during the course of the weekend, please advise us in writing so we may accommodate you in whatever manner is appropriate.
