Girls Jam
Intermediate-Advanced Crack Climbing for Women
This one-day intensive class is designed to help women tackle crack climbing with grace and aplomb. Crack climbing ain't just for boys.
Techniques covered in this clinic include: hand jams, cupping, fist jam, arm bars, deep reaches, finger jams, layback, heel hooks, overhanging finger cracks, and foot jamming. Women in this class will also learn to construct simple, effective, and reusable crack gloves.
Climb with Mieko Akutsu in this class designed for women, by women.
No boys allowed. Minimum class size: two.

Pre-requisite: |
Climbing 1 or demonstrated ability to climb 5.8+ and harder on natural rock. Students must be able to belay using traditional belay equipment, such as 8-Rings and ATCs. |

(Includes climbing instruction, climbing gear, and
$10 daily TPWD guided user fee)
