AMGA Accredited Program Mountain Madness is the only climbing school in Texas to be fully Accredited by the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA)!  The AMGA has examined our entire program and climbing history top to bottom and found Mountain Madness worthy of full Accreditation.  This puts Mountain Madness in a small and elite group of 33 of the top climbing schools in the United States!

AMGA Certified Single Pitch Instructor 2. Scott Harris, owner and founder, is the most experienced guide in Texas and a guide book author to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.

3. The Guide Staff at Mountain Madness is the most experienced in Texas.  All five of our senior guides are Certified AMGA Single Pitch Instructors.  Many of our instructors are teachers.  Working with kids is a specialty of ours!

Classes on Saturdays are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Sundays from 8 am to 4 pm.  In our two-day weekend classes, we go to Fredericksburg on Saturday night for dinner and a chance to swap tall climbing tales.

Rock Climbing 1 Introduces basic climbing techniques and safety instruction for beginning climbers, with the addition of rappelling on Sunday.

Girls Rock Designed by women for women. Learn to integrate female bio-mechanics with superb climbing technique.
Anchoring & Lead Climbing Classes Comprehensive top rope instruction. Learn to set safe top-rope anchors. Introduction to lead climbing.
Austin Limestone Introduction to Sport Climbing, Texas-style at Reimer's Ranch west of Austin along the Pedernales River.
Lead Climbing Teaches the fundamentals of lead climbing in a safe and controlled environment.
Climb With Scott! One-day classes customized to fit individual skill levels.
